Step 1: Complete the
online form or download and print the Franchise Application (PDF) and fill it out. Mail
it to Spicy Pickle Franchising at the address on the bottom
of the application and/or call 800-711-1902, ext. 7011 and
speak with our Director of Franchise Sales, Bob Feldman.
Step 2: We will
review the application, and if it appears you are qualified,
we will provide you a brochure and schedule a face-to-face
or telephone interview. At which time you will receive the
Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The FDD contains
the information about the franchise offer and agreement
terms. At the interview we will discuss our system, timetables,
your qualifications and expectations, and available locations.
Step
3: If we both agree that a Spicy Pickle is appropriate
for you, we will complete our screening process and notify
you of final approval to become a Spicy Pickle franchisee.
Step
4: After a minimum of fourteen calendar days from
the delivery of the FDD, we will execute a Franchisee
Agreement. The Franchise Fee is due upon signing the
Franchise Agreement along with any Development Agreement
fees.
Step 5: Together we will
review information covering site selection, preliminary site
information and ultimately select a location. We will prepare
work letters and a letter of intent to lease (LOI) for submittal
to the owner/landlord as well as preliminary site plans for
the design of the store. The LOI will be submitted by us
through our real estate broker.
Step 6: We will negotiate,
subject to your approval, a final lease for the store site
with the owner/landlord which will be executed by you.
You will also execute our Build Out Addendum for the construction
of the stores executed by you.
Step 7: Once the lease
has been approved, final architectural plans will be prepared
for your particular site under our direction. We will obtain
all necessary permits and select a contractor to begin
construction.
Step 8: You will be enrolled
in our training course in Denver, Colorado or a Spicy Pickle
store near your location and complete training prior to the
completion of your store construction.
Step 9: Your staff
is hired and trained, a Grand Opening is scheduled and
our staff inspects and helps you prepare the restaurant for
business. We will continue training
your staff on the premises
before, during and after Grand Opening.
